Easy Valentine's Day Charcuterie Board
This easy Valentine's day charcuterie board is a fun and effortless way to add some sparkle to your special someone's day
Ingredients
Cheese
- ¾ round Brie cheese large board
- 1 wedge ghost pepper cheese large board
- 1 emi circle mango habanero cheese large board
- ½ block halloumi cheese small board
- ricotta small board (recipe in notes, whipped
Vegetables
- ½ red bell pepper large board
- 1 cucumber large board, mini
- 1 vine tomatoes large board, small, bunch
- ¼ red bell pepper small board
- 6 tomatoes large & small board, vine ripened
Fruit
- 1 lb strawberries large board
- 12 oz blackberry large board
- ½ cup raspberry small board
Condiments
- ¼ cup cranberry chutney large board
- ½ cup red sweet peppers large board, marinated
- ½ cup garlic large board, roasted cloves
Nuts
- ½ cup peanuts large board, spicy
- ½ cup pistachios large board, salted, shelled
Crackers
- ½ package water crackers large board, Carr's brand
- ½ package bruschetta toast large board
- 4-6 lices pumpernickel toast small board, mini
- ½ package biscotti small board, savory
Whipped Ricotta
- ¼ cup ricotta cheese small board (see notes
- 2 teaspoon honey small board (see notes)
- ½ teaspoon red chili flakes small board (see notes)
Chocolate
- 1 toblerone chocolate large board, small size
- ½ package Hershey's Golden Nuggets chocolate large board
- 1 package chocolate bark large board
- 1 Ritter Sport Marzipan Chocolate small board, small square size
- ½ Hershey's Golden Nuggets chocolate small board, small package
Instructions
Large Charcuterie Tray
- Cut your cheeses into the assorted shapes if needed and scatter on the board.
- scoop out some of the cheese in the brie at the top to create a shallow bowl.
- Scoop some of the cranberry sauce into the bowl.
- Deseed and slice the bell pepper into long strips.
- Cut the cucumber into long strips.
- Wash and prep all fruit as needed.
- Cut the Toblerone into triangles.
- Place the vegetables in small jars and place on a large board.
- Scoop out the marinated peppers, roasted garlic and nuts into assorted small cups.
- Place all jars and cups at various locations on the board.
- Lay out the chocolate, berries, tomatoes and crackers in between these containers till the board is full.
- Place spreaders, cheese knives, spoons and toothpicks as needed.
Small Charcuterie Tray
- Slice the halloumi and grill it with a little bit of olive oil in a grill pan.
- Place the grilled halloumi in a glass jar on your board.
- Make the whipped Ricotta and place it in a bowl (see notes).
- Put the sliced peppers and tomatoes in a small bowl.
- Cut the marzipan chocolate into small squares
- Wash and put the raspberries in a bowl
- Place the savory biscotti in a jar
- Scatter the jars and bowls on a small board
- Fill up the remaining space with crackers, bread and chocolate
- Put needed spreaders, toothpicks and spoons and enjoy!
Notes
- The Red Spread - I use my cranberry chutney that I make and freeze over Thanksgiving. It's perfect on brie and the red color is just right for Valentines day. Any store-bought red spread will work just as well in its place.
- The Ricotta Spread - scoop out ¼ cup of the cheese in a bowl, add the honey and just gently swirl it in and top it with a sprinkle of the red pepper on top. Sweet with a little kick at the end... It's easy and delicious!
