Espresso Martini
The Espresso Martini blends vodka, Kahlúa, and cooled espresso coffee shaken with ice, then garnished with coffee beans. This cocktail achieves a sharp yet smooth coffee flavor with a creamy foam layer atop, making it a balanced and visually distinctive adult beverage.
Ingredients
- 40ml / 1 1/3oz vodka
- 20ml (2/3 oz) Kahlúa
- 20ml (2/3 oz) espresso cooled, coffee
- 3 coffee beans , garnish
Instructions
- Place the vodka, kahlua and espresso in a cocktail shaker with ice.
- Shake vigorously 10 times, then pour briskly into a cocktail glass. (Scrape out foam inside if necessary)
- Garnish wtih 3 coffee beans and serve immediately.
Notes
- Use espresso from a proper coffee machine to achieve crema and a foamy top on the cocktail.
- Cool the espresso before shaking to prevent diluting the drink with melting ice.
- If no espresso machine is available, add half an egg white to create foam, noting it affects flavor.
- Garnish with three coffee beans to complete the traditional appearance and aroma.
