Ingredients
- 6 tablespoons butter divided use
- 6 tablespoons all purpose flour
- 1 teaspoon salt
- 1/4 teaspoon pepper
- 2 cups milk
- 2 cups chicken broth divided use
- 1 cup shredded cheese
- 1 Diced bell pepper
- 1 cup chopped celery
- 1/2 cup chopped white onion
- 1 cup noodles cooked and drained
- 2 cups chicken cooked and chopped
Instructions
- Preheat oven to 350°F.
- Melt 4 tablespoons butter; blend in flour and seasonings.
- Add milk and 1 cup broth; cook until thick and smooth. Stir in cheese.
- Sauté onion, green pepper, and celery in remaining butter. Add 1 cup broth, stir, and simmer for 5 minutes.
- Add to sauce with noodles and chicken.
- Transfer the mixture to a casserole dish. Bake for 30 minutes.
