Ingredients
- 8 ounce package crescent dough sheets see notes
- 14 ounce package 14 ounce package mini sausages
- 1 large egg beaten with a splash of water
- 2 tablespoons everything Bagel seasoning
- ¼ cup country Dijon mustard
- 3 tablespoons honey for dipping
Instructions
- Unroll the crescent dough into a long rectangle.
- Cut the dough into thirds lengthwise and then cut each portion into thin strips, about ¼ inch thick. I recommend a pizza cutter for this, but a knife will work too!
- Wrap one piece of dough around each mini sausage and pinch the seam to secure the dough. Place the wrapped sausage on a parchment-lined baking sheet and repeat with the remaining sausages.
- When the sausages are all wrapped, brush each one with egg wash and top with a pinch of everything bagel seasoning.
- Bake for 13-15 minutes, or until the pigs-in-a-blanket are golden brown.
- Serve this pigs-in-a-blanket with honey mustard, ketchup, or bbq sauce. Enjoy warm or at room temperature.
- Storage: This pigs-in-a-blanket is best enjoyed on the day they are made, however, they can be kept in an airtight container in the fridge for up to two days.
Cup of Yum
Notes
- If you cannot find crescent sheets you can use crescent rolls. Just unroll the package and gently press together the tear lines.
