Fall Snack Mix

Quick and easy fall snack mix coated in caramel for an easy snack.

Ingredients

  • ½ cup butter
  • ½ cup brown sugar packed
  • 2 teaspoons vanilla extract
  • 2 cups wheat chex cereal
  • 2 cups corn chex cereal
  • 2 cups mini pretzel twists
  • 2 cups Bugles chips
  • 1 cup Reese's Pieces
  • 1 cup candy corn and pumpkins

Instructions

  1. Add butter, brown sugar and vanilla extract to a large, microwave safe bowl.
  2. Cook in the microwave for 30-45 seconds. Stir to combine until the butter is all melted.
  3. Add the Wheat Chex, Corn Chex, pretzels and Bugles to the bowl. Toss to coat in caramel mixture.
  4. Microwave for 5 minutes stirring every minute.
  5. Pour out onto a parchment lined sheet to cool. This should take about 30-60 minutes.
  6. Once cool add the Reese's pieces, candy corn and pumpkins and caramel corn with peanuts and toss to combine.
  7. Store in an airtight container in a cool, dry spot or serve immediately.

Notes

  • Once your harvest snack mix is completely cool, place it into an airtight container. You can also store in a zip top bag and squeeze the air out of it. Seal the bag tightly.
  • Store in a cool and dry place and the snack mix will last for up to 5 days.
