Ingredients

  • 2 cups farmer's cheese
  • 1/2 cup sugar
  • 1 1/2 cup flour
  • 2 tsp baking powder
  • 2 eggs
  • oil for frying

Instructions

  1. Whisk eggs and sugar together.
  2. Add cheese and baking powder to the mixture, combining until you get a smooth and even texture.
  3. Using a spatula or slotted spoon, slowly fold your flour into the wet mixture in thirds.
  4. With an ice cream scoop, portion out a small round of dough and drop it directly into the preheated oil. Preheat oil in a deep frying pan to medium-low. Flip each round gently with a fork until each side turns golden brown.
  5. Carefully lift each doughnut out onto a cooling rack lined with paper towels. Sprinkle with powdered sugar or drizzle with chocolate syrup or your favorite jam.
