Ingredients

  • 12 oz fresh fettuccine
  • 7 tbsp butter
  • 5 oz grated Parmesan cheese
  • 2 tbsp heavy cream
  • salt and pepper

Instructions

Prepare the Pasta

  1. Bring a pot of salted water to a boil.
  2. Add the fettuccine to the boiling water and cook according to the package instructions.
Make the Sauce
  1. While the pasta is cooking, melt butter in a large skillet over low heat.
  2. Once the butter has melted, stir in the grated Parmesan cheese, ensuring the heat remains low to prevent clumping.
Enhance Creaminess 
  1. For a creamier sauce, add a couple of tablespoons of heavy cream to the skillet.
  2. Use a whisk to combine the ingredients, creating a smooth and velvety consistency.
  3. Before draining the pasta, reserve a couple of tablespoons of the pasta cooking water. Stir this water into the Alfredo sauce to make it extra silky.
Combine Pasta and Sauce
  1. Drain the fettuccine well.Add the drained pasta directly to the skillet with the sauce.
  2. Toss the fettuccine until they are fully coated in the creamy sauce.
  3. Serve and Enjoy
