Flank Steak Recipe With Mustard Sauce
Easy Flank Steak Recipe made in 10 minutes with a tangy wine and mustard sauce. Easy enough to make on a weeknight and elegant enough to serve with company
Ingredients
For Steak
- 2 lb flank steak
- black pepper
- salt
For Mustard Sauce
- 1/2 cup onion sliced (about 1/4 onion
- 1 teaspoon Dijon mustard
- 1/2 teaspoon thyme can be dried
- 1/2 cup beef stock
- 1/4 cup white wine
- salt
- black pepper
- 1 teaspoon olive oil
Instructions
- To Cook the beef:
- Preheat the Broiler for 5 minutes
- Place beef in a broiler rack and add salt + pepper on both sides
- Cook for 3 minutes on one side, then turn and cook for 3 more minutes
- To Make the Pan Sauce
- While the beef is cooking, heat a saute pan over medium heat and add the olive oil
- Cook the onions with a little salt and the thyme until softened
- Add the wine, mustard, and stock and let it reduce over medium-low heat until thickened (do not let it dry)
