Flank Steak with Herbed Salsa - When Friends come and visit
Perfect for any time of day, this recipe delivers great flavor effortlessly.
Ingredients
- 2 tomato 2 medium, finley chopped tomatoes
- 3 scallions 3 white only chopped scallions
- 0.5 jalapeño 1/2 seeded and minced jalapeno
- 3 garlic 3 minced garlic cloves
- 1 lemon juice of 1 lemon
- lime juice of a large lime
- 1 pound flank steak 1 one pound flank steak
Instructions
- Preheat a grill pan or light a grill.
- Season with salt and pepper the flank steak.
- Using a grill pan brush a shadow of oil on the bottom of it. Place the pan over high heat and when hot add the flank steak. Cook until nicely charred outside and medium rare inside. About 3 minutes per side.
- Transfer the steak to a carving board and let rest for 5 minutes.
- Thinly slice the steak across the grain and serve with the herbed salsa.
