Ingredients

  • 1 teaspoon sea salt
  • 0.5 teaspoon ground black pepper
  • 2 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 2 teaspoon onion powder
  • 1.5 teaspoon smoked paprika
  • 0.25 teaspoon cayenne pepper
  • 1 teaspoon dried parsley
  • 0.5 teaspoon dried thyme
  • 0.5 teaspoon dried oregano

Instructions

    Cup of Yum
  1. Put all of the ingredients into a jar and mix well.
  2. To use with frozen fries, put the fries in a large bowl, drizzle with oil and sprinkle with seasoning. Use your hands to mix well. Spread the fries over a baking tray and put in a preheated oven at 200°C/180°C(fan)/400°F/Gas 6 and cook for 20-25 minutes until crispy and golden.

Notes

  • If you don't want a smoky flavour, then you can use regular paprika instead.
  • Want a real kick of heat to this? Swap the cayenne for red chilli flakes.
  • This recipe is really easy to adapt with your favourite herbs, or weighted more to less towards one flavour if you prefer. You can even leave the salt out if your prefer.
  • If you are seasoning deep fried fries, then you don't need to season them first. Instead, when they are out of the oil, season them straight away whilst they are steaming hot. The instructions in this recipe are for baked frozen fries.
