Fresh Berry Crisp

Fresh Berry Crisp is a beautiful and easy-to-make dessert bursting with fresh raspberries, blackberries, blueberries, and sweet oat topping!

Ingredients

  • 1 ½ cups blackberries
  • 1 ½ cups raspberries
  • 1 ½ cups blueberries
  • 4 tablespoons granulated sugar
  • 2 cups all-purpose flour
  • 2 cups rolled oats
  • 1 ½ cups brown sugar
  • 1 teaspoon ground cinnamon
  • ½ teaspoon ground nutmeg
  • 1 ½ cups butter cold, cut into small pieces

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 350 degrees F.
  2. In a large mixing bowl, combine the berries and granulated sugar until evenly coated. Set aside to macerate.
  3. In another large mixing bowl, combine the flour, rolled oats, brown sugar, cinnamon, and nutmeg. Then cut in the butter with a fork or a pastry cutter.
  4. Spread half of the oat mixture evenly over the bottom of a 9-inch x 13-inch baking dish. Spread all of the berries over top. Cover the berries evenly with the remaining oat mixture.
  5. Bake for 30 to 40 minutes until the oats are golden and the berry filling is bubbling.
  6. Remove from the oven and allow to cool for 10 minutes before serving. We like some vanilla ice cream or whipped cream with this berry crisp.
