Fried Cabbage

Ingredients

  • 1 tablespoon olive oil
  • 4 lices Bacon chopped
  • 1 onion chopped, medium
  • 1 head green cabbage cored and sliced
  • salt to taste
  • black pepper to taste

Instructions

  1. Heat olive oil in a large skillet over medium heat and cook the bacon until crisp. Remove bacon and set aside on a paper towel to drain.
  2. In the same skillet, sauté the onion until translucent, about 3-4 minutes.
  3. Add the sliced cabbage to the skillet, season with salt and pepper, and cook, stirring occasionally, until the cabbage is tender and some pieces are lightly browned, about 10 minutes.
  4. Return the bacon to the skillet, stir to combine with the cabbage, and cook for an additional 2 minutes to reheat the bacon.
