Fried Plantains

How to make Fried Plantains, with brown sugar & sour cream for dipping. Trust me, it's a fabulous combination! You'll have to try it and see!

Ingredients

  • 2 plantains (half a plantain per person)
  • 1/4 cup salted butter
  • 2-3 tablespoons brown sugar
  • 1/2 cup sour cream

Instructions

  1. Peel the plantains and then slice in half length-wise.
  2.  In a skillet on low heat, melt the butter and sugar together. 
  3. Place the plantains in the skillet and cook for 5-6 minutes on one side, or until it's browned nicely. 
  4. Flip carefully to keep the plantain intact and cook the other side for another 5-6 minutes, or until the plantain is soft all the way through. 
  5. Remove from the heat and place on a plate. Dip in the sour cream and enjoy!
