Frozen Margarita Slushy

Frozen Margarita Slushy blends the original Margarita made with Tequila and fresh lime juice with ice cubes to make a refreshing icy drink!

Ingredients

For The Rim:
  • 2 tablespoons salt approximately
  • 1 lime wedge
For The Margaritas:
  • 2 hots tequila
  • 1 hots triple sec or Cointreau
  • ½ cup lime juice 2 limes
  • 2 tablespoons simple syrup optional
  • 2 cups ice
  • 2 Lime slices to garnish

Instructions

    Cup of Yum
  1. Pour salt over a small plate; rub the lime wedge over the rim of each glass. Dip each glass into the salt and set aside. (Or transfer to the refrigerator to chill.)
  2. Blend the Tequila, Triple Sec (or Cointreau), lime juice, simple syrup (if using) and ice together until ice is crushed and the consistency of a slushy. Add more ice as needed. Serve immediately.

Notes

  • Tip: If the slushy is too strong for your tastes, add ¼ cup lemonade to dilute the alcohol and add some sweetness!
