Frozen Peanut Butter & Banana Dog Treats

Frozen Peanut Butter & Banana Dog Treats blend creamy peanut butter, ripe banana, and Greek yogurt into layered frozen bites. These treats offer dogs a cool, soft texture with natural sweetness and protein, using dog-safe ingredients without harmful additives. The method involves layering softened peanut butter and a banana-yogurt mixture into molds, creating a chilled snack ideal for warm days or as a healthy treat alternative.

Ingredients

  • ½ cup peanut butter **Side Note: Make sure the peanut butter you use doesn’t have Xylitol in it. It’s a sweetener used in many foods, including peanut butter, and is safe for humans but potentially deadly for dogs. If ingested, it can cause seizures, liver failure, and death, warned one animal hospital, which called xylitol “extremely toxic” to dogs.
  • 1 banana ripe
  • ⅔ cup Greek yogurt

Instructions

    Cup of Yum
  1. Heat the peanut butter in a microwave-safe dish for 10-15 seconds, or until it's softened and a bit runny.
  2. Spoon an even layer of peanut butter into each silicone mold. Slightly tap the silicone trays to remove any air bubbles and to make them level.
  3. Make the banana mixture by mashing the ripe banana in a bowl with a fork until creamy. Add the Greek yogurt and mix until well combined.
  4. Spoon an even layer of the banana/yogurt mixture until the mold is filled up. Tap the silicone trays lightly on the counter then place them into the freezer for 4 hours.
  5. Remove from the silicone molds and store these frozen treats layered in parchment in an air-tight sealed container in the freezer. Enjoy!
