Fruit Chaat (Pakistani-Style)
Fruit Chaat is a popular sweet, spicy, and tangy Pakistani-style fruit salad made with seasonal fruit, juice, sugar, and chaat masala.
Ingredients
- 1 Mango
- 1 apple Granny Smith
- 1 banana
- 1 cup red grape
- ½ cup pomegranate seeds
- ⅓ cup guava juice
- ⅔ cup orange juice
- 2 tablespoon granulated sugar white
- 2 teaspoon chaat masala
Garnish
- 1 teaspoon tajin seasoning
- 4 tablespoon tamarind chutney
Instructions
- Chop all the fruit into small bite sized pieces. (see notes)
- Mix both the juices with the sugar and chaat masala and pour over the chopped fruit.
- Stir and place in the refrigerator for at least 30 minutes. (see notes)
- Garnish with the tajin and tamarind chutney and serve. (see notes)
Notes
- Chopping the fruit: Cut it into small pieces so it is easier to eat.
- Letting the fruit salad rest: This allows the fruit to soak up the spiced juice, making the final result more flavorful.
- The Garnish: These are optional but highly recommended to enhance the taste of the fruit salad.
