    Cup of Yum
  1. Get out and measure all of your ingredients.
  2. Place rimmed baking sheet on top of oven middle rack, and heat your oven to 450 degrees.
  3. Set your wire rack inside other rimmed baking sheet and set aside.
  4. Place crushed cereal in 13 by 9 inch baking pan or the equivalent.
  5. Add half and half, eggs, sugar, vanilla, cinnamon, and salt to a large bowl. The more shallow the bowl the better.
  6. Whisk until blended.
  7. Soak each slice of bread in the half and half mixture.
  8. At least 10 seconds per side.
  9. Until totally saturated.
  10. Take saturated bread and press gently in cereal until fully coated. Place on prepared wire rack.
  11. Repeat with all of the remaining bread.
  12. Add oil to your preheated rimmed baking sheet and make sure entire baking sheet is coated. Allow baking sheet to heat oil up until almost smoking, 3 or 4 minutes.
  13. Carefully remove baking sheet from oven and place coated bread on sheet. Bake until golden brown and crisp, about 20 minutes. Flip once by the 10 minute mark and don't forget to rotate your pan if your oven has any hot spots.
  14. Remove from oven.
  15. Transfer toast to clean wire rack and allow to cool for a few minutes. Serve with desired toppings, check out our list of sides and enjoy every bite.
