Ingredients
- 5 trips streaky bacon finely chopped
- 500 g (1lb) green beans ends trimmed
- 4 garlic cloves crushed
- 1-2 tsp lemon juice
- salt and pepper to taste
Instructions
- Finely chop the bacon then cook in a large frying pan until crisp and golden.
- Remove the bacon from the pan with a slotted spoon and set aside. Drain the bacon fat, leaving 1-2 tbsp behind.
- Add a splash of olive oil then add the green beans. Saute the green beans for 4-5 minutes, stirring regularly, until they are al dente.
- Add the garlic and bacon and cook for another two minutes until the beans are cooked to your preference and the garlic is fragrant.
- Add the lemon juice and season to taste then serve.
