Garlic Basil Pesto with Pasta

Easy to make, classic basil pesto, combining some Italian staples like basil, garlic, and parmesan cheese.

Ingredients

  • 4 4 oz basil about 2 cups
  • 2 2 cloves garlic
  • 1/3 1/3 c pine nuts
  • 1/4 1/4 c grated Parmesan cheese
  • olive oil about 1/2 cup
  • salt
  • 1 1 lb pasta

Instructions

    Cup of Yum
  1. Pulse garlic in food processor until finely chopped
  2. Add nuts, cheese and a pinch of salt. Pulse to combine
  3. Slowly drizzle oil in the running processor until desired consistency reached (about 1/2 cup oil)
  4. Salt to taste. Makes about enough for 1 lb. of pasta.
