Garlic Naan

Garlic Naan is a buttery, homemade bread made with Greek yogurt, cilantro, butter, and garlic. Serve it with your favorite Indian dinners.

Ingredients

  • 3 1/4 cups flour
  • 2 cups Greek yogurt
  • 1 tablespoon baking powder
  • 1 teaspoon kosher salt
  • 6 cloves garlic , minced
  • 1/4 cup cilantro , minced
  • 1/2 cup unsalted butter , melted

Instructions

  1. Add flour, greek yogurt, baking powder, salt, garlic, and cilantro to a large bowl.
  2. Mix well, then remove from bowl and knead for 3 minutes.
  3. Cut into 24 balls.
  4. Roll the balls on a lightly floured surface and knead for 10 seconds.
  5. Roll out with a rolling pin.
  6. Brush butter lightly in a large heavy pan, cook naan for 1 minute on the first side and about 20 seconds on the second side.
  7. Brush with additional butter and top with kosher salt if desired.
