Ingredients

  • 5–7 medium russet potatoes
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil
  • 2 teaspoons garlic powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1/4 teaspoon black pepper
  • 3/4 cup freshly grated Parmesan cheese
  • fresh parsley finely chopped (optional, for garnish)

Instructions

    Cup of Yum
  1. Preheat your oven to 375°F.
  2. Cut the potatoes into 1/4-inch thick fries, keeping the sizes consistent for even cooking.
  3. Soak the fries in a bowl of cold water for at least 20 minutes to remove excess starch. Drain and thoroughly dry the fries.
  4. Toss the dried fries with olive oil, garlic powder, salt, and black pepper, then coat evenly with grated Parmesan.
  5. Arrange the fries on a baking tray in a single layer without touching, to allow them to bake properly.
  6. Bake for 25-35 minutes, flipping halfway through, until they are golden and crispy. Watch closely as oven cooking times may vary.
  7. Let the fries cool slightly to crisp up further, then sprinkle with fresh parsley if desired. Serve hot.
