Garlic Shrimp Stir Fry

Ingredients

  • ⅓ cup soy sauce low sodium
  • ½ tbsp oyster sauce
  • 1 tbsp sesame oil
  • 1 tbsp Sambal Oelek Chili Paste
  • 1 tbsp brown sugar
  • 4-5 tbsp minced garlic 
  • ½ tbsp cornstarch
  • 1 tbsp olive oil
  • 1 small onion sliced
  • 1 red bell pepper sliced
  • 1-1½ cup Snow peas
  • 5-6 mushrooms sliced
  • ¼ tsp pepper
  • 1 lb Shrimp tails removed and deveined

Instructions

  1. In a small bowl or measuring cup, combine the soy sauce, sesame oil, sambal oelek, oyster sauce, brown sugar, minced garlic, and cornstarch. Stir to combine before setting aside.
  2. In a large skillet over medium heat, add in olive oil, and then add in the sliced onions, bell peppers, snow peas, mushrooms, and a pinch of black pepper. Sauté for approximately 3 minutes.
  3. Add the shrimp to the pan and continue to sauté for two minutes or until the shrimp has turned pink and opaque.
  4. Add the sauce to the pan and stir to combine for approximately 1 minute.
  5. Option to add salt if needed before serving.
