General Tso’s Chicken Wings
General Tso Chicken Wings are a delicious twist on the Chinese favorite, they're the perfect appetizer for game day or parties!
Ingredients
- 3 lbs chicken wings
- 4 tbsp canola oil divided
- ½ tsp kosher salt
- ½ tsp black pepper
- 2 tsp Chinese five-spice powder divided
- 4 tsp red pepper flakes divided, crushed
- ¾ cup soy sauce
- 6 tbsp rice vinegar
- 3 tbsp sriracha
- 6 tbsp honey
- 3 tbsp garlic crushed, fresh
- 6 tsp ginger grated, fresh
Instructions
- Toss the chicken wings with 2 tbsp canola oil, ½ tsp kosher salt, ½ tsp black pepper, ½ tsp five spice powder and 1 tsp crushed red pepper flakes.
- Grill the wings for 4-5 minutes per side.
- In a large skillet or wok, combine the remaining 2 tbsp canola oil, 1 ½ tsp five spice powder, 3 tsp crushed red pepper flakes, soy sauce, rice vinegar, sriracha, honey, garlic and ginger.
- Bring the sauce to a boil.
- Add the grilled wings and toss in the sauce.
