General Tso’s Chicken Wings

General Tso Chicken Wings are a delicious twist on the Chinese favorite, they're the perfect appetizer for game day or parties!

Ingredients

  • 3 lbs chicken wings
  • 4 tbsp canola oil divided
  • ½ tsp kosher salt
  • ½ tsp black pepper
  • 2 tsp Chinese five spice powder divided
  • 4 tsp crushed red pepper flakes divided
  • ¾ cup soy sauce
  • 6 tbsp rice vinegar
  • 3 tbsp Sriracha
  • 6 tbsp honey
  • 3 tbsp fresh garlic crushed
  • 6 tsp fresh ginger grated

Instructions

  1. Toss the chicken wings with 2 tbsp canola oil, ½ tsp kosher salt, ½ tsp black pepper, ½ tsp five spice powder and 1 tsp crushed red pepper flakes.
  2. Grill the wings for 4-5 minutes per side.
  3. In a large skillet or wok, combine the remaining 2 tbsp canola oil, 1 ½ tsp five spice powder, 3 tsp crushed red pepper flakes, soy sauce, rice vinegar, sriracha, honey, garlic and ginger.
  4. Bring the sauce to a boil.
  5. Add the grilled wings and toss in the sauce.
