General Tso's Slow Cooker Chicken

This favorite take out chicken dish has a slight heat to it and cooks nice and tender in a slow cooker. You won't need to call for take out ever again.

Ingredients

  • 2 pounds skinless, boneless chicken breasts
  • 5 teaspoons of garlic minced
  • 8 tablespoons honey
  • 2 teaspoons ginger
  • 6 tablespoons soy sauce
  • 1 teaspoon crushed red pepper flakes

Instructions

  1. Cut chicken breasts into medium-sized chunks or strips (not bite size) and place in the slow cooker.
  2. In a small bowl, whisk together garlic honey, ginger and soy sauce.
  3. Pour sauce over the chicken in slow cooker and stir.
  4. Cook on high for 3-5 hours (adjust according to your slow cooker's hotness if needed).
  5. Serve with a vegetable and over rice.
