German Cucumber Salad

This refreshing and creamy German Cucumber Salad is the perfect, gourmet summer side dish.

Ingredients

  • ½ cup sour cream
  • 1 tablespoon white vinegar
  • 1 teaspoon granulated sugar
  • 2 tablespoons fresh dill chopped
  • 2 English cucumbers thinly sliced
  • ½ medium red onion thinly sliced
  • salt to taste
  • freshly ground black pepper to taste

Instructions

  1. In a large mixing bowl, whisk together sour cream, white vinegar, sugar, and chopped dill until well combined.
  2. Add the thinly sliced cucumbers and red onion to the dressing and toss until they are evenly coated. Season with salt and pepper to taste.
  3. Cover the salad and refrigerate for at least 1 hour before serving to allow the flavors to meld.
