Ingredients

  • 1 pound ground turkey or ground beef, pork, chicken
  • 1 egg
  • ½ cup almond flour
  • 1 tsp garlic powder
  • ½ tsp onion powder
  • ½ tsp sea salt
  • ½ tsp black pepper

Instructions

  1. First, preheat oven to 350 degrees Fahrenheit. Line a rimmed baking pan with parchment paper.
  2. Add all ingredients to a mixing bowl. Use hands to fully incorporate mixture.
  3. Form in 10 equal sized meatballs. Place on pan.
  4. Bake for 16 to 18 minutes or until internal temperature reaches 165 degrees Fahrenheit.
  5. Finally, remove pan from oven. Discard any grease. Top with your favorite sauce!

Notes

  • A lower fat content in the ground turkey will yield more dry meatballs.  So, 85% lean, 15% fat will be more juicy than a 99% lean, 1% fat turkey.
  • Fully mix ingredients together.
  • Try to form equal sized, round meatballs.
  • Ground turkey is considered done cooking when it has reached 165 degrees Fahrenheit.  Use a meat thermometer for accurate reading.
  • Store leftovers in the fridge for up to 5 days.
  • Freeze for up to 1 month.
