Ingredients

  • 2 cups macadamia nuts
  • pinch sea salt optional

Instructions

  1. Add macadamia nuts to a food processor or high speed blender. If using unsalted nuts, add sea salt if desired.
  2. Blend macadamia nuts on high until smooth and creamy. Every minute or so, stop the food processor and scrape down sides of processor with a spatula.
  3. Continue processing until smooth and creamy.
  4. Finally, serve!

Notes

  • A food processor or high speed blender is needed for this recipe.
  • Sea salt is totally optional.  Omit if using salted macadamia nuts.
  • Scrape down sides of blender or food processor every minute or so.
  • Continue processing until smooth and creamy.
  • Consider adding a pinch of cinnamon for a sweeter flavor.
  • Pour macadamia nut butter into a Mason jar.  Once cooled to room temperature, fasten lid and store in fridge.
  • If food processor or blender becomes overheated at any point, stop and let it rest.  Then continue processing.
  • Use within 2 weeks for best results.
  • This recipe makes about 1 cup of macadamia nut butter.  Each service size is 2 tablespoons.
