Ingredients

  • ¼ cup fine sea salt
  • 1 Tablespoon paprika
  • ½ teaspoon garlic powder
  • ½ teaspoon onion powder
  • 1 teaspoon granulated sugar
  • ½ teaspoon cayenne pepper optional

Instructions

  1. In a bowl, add all of the ingredients and whisk or stir until completely incorporated together. Or, shake them together in a jar.
  2. Store in an airtight container in a dark cupboard for up to six months. Use in any recipe that would benefit from the added savory flavors and salt.

Notes

  • This recipe yields a scant 1/2 cup of seasoning.
  • Prevent Caking: due to humidity and time, seasoned salt can have a tendency to clump together. To prevent this, stir in about 1 teaspoon of corn starch before storage.
