Get the Recipe Ridiculously Easy Homemade Coffee Creamer (without Sweetened Condensed Milk)
There's no need to buy overpriced coffee creamer from the store anymore - make it at home with 3 simple ingredients - flavored however you'd like (I love vanilla bean paste) - and without sweetened condensed milk! I'll walk you through the easy steps and include tips for making a dairy-free version, too!

Ingredients
- 1 cup half-and-half see notes
- ¼ cup granulated sugar increase up to ½ cup for sweeter creamer
- ½-1 Tablespoon vanilla bean paste or flavoring of choice
Instructions
- In a small saucepan, whisk together half-and-half and sugar and warm over medium heat. Bring to a slight simmer until just beginning to bubble and the sugar is dissolved.
- Remove from heat and whisk in vanilla bean paste (or extract of choice).
- Let cool slightly before adding to an iced coffee, or use immediately in a hot coffee. Store in an airtight container in the fridge (noting the best-buy date on the cream used for length of time). Give it a good shake before adding to your morning cup of coffee.
Cup of Yum
Notes
- Yield: makes just over 1 cup of creamer. The serving size suggests about 2 TBSP per serving.
- Dairy Free: I recommend canned coconut milk, otherwise a barista-style oat milk works best.
- Use heavy cream for an even thicker and rich creamer, or a mixture of the two.
- Flavoring: add other flavored extracts as you'd like!
