Ingredients
- ½ cup melted unsalted butter
- 1 cup granulated sugar
- 1 tsp vanilla extract
- 1 egg
- 1 ½ cups gluten free flour see note
- 1 tbsp milk
- ½ tsp sea salt

Instructions
- First, preheat the oven to 350 degrees Fahrenheit. Line an 8 inch square pan with parchment paper.
- In a mixing bowl, add the melted butter and sugar. Stir until creamy and frothy.
- Then, add in the vanilla and egg. Stir to combine.
- Add in the gluten free flour, milk, and sea salt. Stir until a sugar cookie dough forms.
- Press this mixture into an even layer in the lined pan.
- Bake for 18 to 20 minutes, or until the edges are very lightly golden and the middle still looks soft.
- Remove from the oven. Once fully cooled, add frosting and sprinkles. Cut into squares and enjoy!

Notes
- If you are not gluten free, feel free to use the same amount of all purpose flour.
- Do not bake too long. The middle will still look a little soft and buttery.
- Allow the bars to fully cool before adding the frosting. The frosting will melt otherwise.
- Store in an airtight container for up to 3 days at room temperature.
