Juicy berries, tart apples, and ripe bananas are blended with fresh ginger root to give this fruity smoothie a kick.

Ingredients

  • 1 medium banana (frozen or fresh)
  • 1 apple (cored and quartered )
  • 1 cup mixed berries frozen
  • 2 cups spinach optional, frozen
  • 1 inch-piece ginger root (thinly sliced)
  • 2 tablespoons flaxseed meal
  • 1 cup water
  • ice (to thicken)

Instructions

    Cup of Yum
  1. Place all ingredients in blender and puree until smooth. Add ice until you've reached desired consistency.

  • Excellent source of Vitamin A and C, good source Iron and Calcium.
