Glazed Ham with Marmalade and Mustard, a must-try recipe for your festive dinner. Moist cooked ham coated in a wonderfully spiced marmalade and mustard glaze with whole cloves pressed into the ham, it really can't get any more delicious than this!

Ingredients

  • 1 cooked ham ( I used a 1.5 kg / 3 lb joint of cooked ham)
  • ½ cup marmalade
  • 3 tablespoon orange juice
  • 1 tablespoon honey
  • 1 teaspoon Dijon mustard
  • 1 teaspoon mixed spice ( or pumpkin spice)
  • ¼ cup whole cloves

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 200 degrees Celsius (390 Fahrenheit).
  2. To make the glaze, add the marmalade, honey, orange juice, dijon mustard and mixed spices to a pan set over a medium heat.
  3. Mix well and let the mixture simmer for 7-8 minutes until the glaze thickens slightly.
  4. Use a sharp knife to remove the rind off the cooked ham, then score diamonds into the fat.
  5. Insert a whole clove into each diamond.
  6. Use a brush to glaze the ham really well, then bake the ham for 25 minutes until the ham is golden.

Notes

  • It is crucial to use a cooked ham for this recipe, if you have a raw joint of gammon, this has to be cooked beforehand. Once the ham is cooked, then you can follow the instructions on how to glaze it.
  • The glaze only adds more flavour to the ham, it will not cook it. Once ready, the ham can be enjoyed either warm or cold, it's up to you.
