Greek Salad Dressing (5 Minutes!)
This Greek Salad Dressing is a simple vinaigrette combining olive oil, fresh lemon juice, red wine vinegar, oregano, garlic, salt, and pepper. It offers a bright, tangy flavor with herbal notes and a garlicky finish. The dressing is versatile, suitable for classical Greek salads or as a marinade or drizzle for vegetables and grilled dishes.
Ingredients
- ¼ cup olive oil
- 1 lemon juiced
- 3 tbsp red wine vinegar
- 1 tsp oregano
- 1 clove garlic grated
- 1/2 tsp salt
- 1/8 tsp black pepper
Instructions
- Place the olive oil in a jar and add the lemon juice, red wine vinegar, oregano, garlic, salt and pepper.
- Seal the jar and shake well for a minute until completely combined.
- Serve immediately or store in the fridge for up to 2 weeks. Shake well before serving.
Notes
- Use extra virgin olive oil for the best flavor; opt for cold-pressed and organic if possible.
- Freshly squeezed lemon juice is preferable to bottled for a brighter taste.
- Adjust the acidity balance by adding more olive oil or a pinch of sugar if the dressing tastes too sharp.
- Shake the dressing well before each use, especially after refrigeration where oil may solidify.
- Store the dressing in the refrigerator for up to two weeks in a sealed container.
