Greek Turkey Burgers
These healthy Greek Turkey Burgers get their delicious flavor from a blend of Mediterranean spices. Simply mix ground turkey with Greek seasoning, spinach, and feta, cook the patties up, then top with tzatziki sauce, cucumbers and tomatoes.

Ingredients
- 1 ½ lbs. ground turkey 85/15 or 90/10
- 8 oz. spinach previously frozen, thawed
- ¼ cup onion red, finely chopped
- ½ cup feta cheese crumbled
- 3 Tbsp. cilantro fresh, finely chopped
- 2 cloves garlic finely minced
- 1 tsp. Coriander
- 1 tsp. cumin
- ½ tsp. each of basil oregano, parsley, dried
- ¼ tsp. cinnamon
- 1 ½ tsp. salt
- ½ tsp. black pepper
- 2 Tbsp. oil avocado oil
For Serving:
- 5 hamburger buns gluten-free if needed
- 10 oz. Tzatziki sauce
- 2 large tomatoes sliced
- ½ cup cucumber seedless, thinly sliced
- ½ cup red onion thinly sliced
Instructions
- Preheat the oven to 400 degrees.
- Add the thawed spinach to a paper towel or cheesecloth and squeeze until all of the liquid is removed. You should end up with roughly ½ cup of spinach.
- Combine the turkey, spinach, onion, Feta cheese, cilantro, garlic, spices, herbs, salt, and pepper in a large bowl. Begin by breaking apart the meat with a potato masher, and then continue to combine all of the ingredients with a spatula.
- Divide the meat mixture into 5 equal portions, each about 5-ounces. Shape each portion into a patty that is 4 inches wide and 1 inch thick.
- Add the oil to a large oven-proof skillet (either stainless steel or cast iron) over medium heat and let warm up for a minute or two. Once sizzling, place the patties into the skillet and cook for 3-4 minutes, flip, and then cook for another 2 minutes.
- Add the skillet to the preheated oven and continue cooking for an additional 7-8 minutes, or until the internal temperature reaches 165 degrees.
- Serve the turkey burgers on a toasted bun with tzatziki sauce, sliced tomatoes, cucumbers, and red onion. Enjoy!

- How to freeze: Place the turkey patties on a large baking sheet and pre-freeze for 3-4 hours. Once firm, add the patties to a freezer-safe container or gallon-sized Ziploc bag. They will freeze well for up to a year, but do start to loose their quality after 3-4 months.
- How to reheat: Warm these turkey burgers back up in a skillet or you can use the microwave.
