Green Bean Casserole in Instant Pot
This delightful recipe is easy to follow and perfect for any occasion.
Ingredients
- 32 ounces green beans frozen
- 1 cream of mushroom soup canned
- 1 cup milk (or broth)
- 1 tsp garlic powder
- 1/2 tsp seasoned salt
- 1/2 tsp black pepper
- 1 tsp onion powder
- 1 1/2 cup onion fried
- 1 cup cheddar cheese shredded
Instructions
- Add the green beans to the Instant Pot.
- In a separate bowl, combine the cream of mushroom, milk, garlic powder, seasoned salt, pepper, and onion powder. Stir until combined. **If you are concerned about burn notice, you can add the cream of mushroom after the pressure cooking time**
- Pour mixture over green beans.
- Secure lid and set the pressure valve to SEALING.
- Cook on HIGH PRESSURE for 15 minutes.
- Press CANCEL.
- Quick-release the pressure and remove the lid.
- Add in the shredded cheddar and 1/2 cup of the fried onions. Stir to combine.
- Pour into a serving dish and sprinkle remaining friend onions on top.
Notes
- If using a newer Instant Pot model, consider adding an extra 1/4 cup of liquid to prevent a burn notice. Avoid stirring after adding the liquid mix to keep thicker components from sticking to the bottom.
