Ingredients

  • 3 Tbsp rolled oats
  • 2 Tbsp almonds sliced or 1 Tbsp almond butter
  • 1 banana medium ripe
  • 1.25 oz. raspberries 1/4 cup, frozen or frozen blueberries
  • 2 oz. strawberry about 2 large or 6 small, frozen
  • 1/2 cup water cold
  • 2.5 oz. spinach 2 1/2 cups packed, fresh
  • 6 ice cubes
  • 1/4 tsp cinnamon for blueberry version
  • 1/4 tsp vanilla extract for blueberry version
  • 1/8 tsp almond extract - for raspberry version

Instructions

    Cup of Yum
  1. Add all ingredients to a high speed blender (if using blueberries add cinnamon and vanilla, if using raspberries add almond extract). Blend until well pureed. Serve immediately.

Notes

  • *If needed you can add a little extra water. If using a high powered blender you shouldn't need to.
  • I've tried this with almond milk but I feel that since it's already a creamy smoothie without it, and since almonds are added it's not needed. But if you'd like it even richer and creamier you can use it in place of water.
