Green Tea Saketini: a Green Tea Cocktail
This Green Tea Saketini is a Green Tea Cocktail inspired by a vodka martini with tea-infused sake in place of dry vermouth. It's a sophisticated, tea-flavored cocktail that's perfect before dinner or your favorite Asian-inspired meals.

Ingredients
- 1 ounce (30 milliliters) sake Junmai type works well
- 1 bag green tea
- 2 ounces vodka
- 1 Cucumber slice for garnish
Instructions
- Add the tea bag to the sake in a clean glass jar or a cocktail shaker and infuse for one to three hours.
- Discard the tea bag and combine the vodka and green tea-infused sake in a cocktail shaker with ice. Stir until chilled, then strain into a coupe or martini glass and garnish with the cucumber.
Cup of Yum
Notes
- The green tea can be infused into the sake for one to three hours, depending on your preference for the strength of the green tea flavor in your cocktail.
- You can infuse more than one ounce for more green tea cocktails. Store the green tea-infused sake in the refrigerator until ready to use.
- Tasters preferred the two to one ratio and vodka in this saketini over gin. Please feel free to vary these to your taste. If using gin, I would recommend a cucumber-infused gin like Hendrick's.
