Grilled Broccoli

Grilled Broccoli features bite-sized pieces of broccoli seasoned simply with salt and pepper, topped with butter, and cooked in a foil packet over medium-high heat. This method steams the broccoli gently, providing tender stalks with some smoky notes from the grill. The butter adds richness to the vegetable's naturally bright flavor.

Ingredients

  • 1 lb. broccoli
  • 1/2 tsp salt
  • 1/2 tsp black pepper
  • 2 tbsp butter

Instructions

    Cup of Yum
  1. Spray a large piece of aluminum foil with a non-stick cooking spray.
  2. Chop up your broccoli into bite size pieces and place on the center of the aluminum foil.
  3. Season with salt and pepper and top with butter.
  4. Fold the foil around the broccoli to make a foil pack.
  5. Grill over medium high heat for approximately 8-10 minutes (flipping part way) depending on how tender you like your broccoli.

Notes

  • If you prefer, the broccoli can be roasted in a 400°F oven for 10-12 minutes until tender.
