Grilled Broccolini

Ingredients

  • 1 pound broccolini
  • 2 tablespoons butter
  • 3 cloves garlic minced
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil divided
  • ¼ teaspoon red pepper flakes
  • ¼ teaspoon salt
  • Optional: parmesan cheese

Instructions

  1. Heat up your grill, while you wash and dry the broccolini.
  2. Drizzle 1 tablespoon of olive oil and the salt over the broccolini and toss to coat each piece. Grill the broccolini on both sides until tender.
  3. While the broccolini is cooking, heat up a saucepan and melt the butter. Add the remaining tablespoon of olive oil, red pepper flakes and the garlic. Sauté the garlic for about 20 seconds, careful not to brown it or it will become bitter.
  4. Add the grilled broccolini to a mixing bowl and pour the garlic butter mixture over the top.
  5. Toss to coat and serve with (optional) freshly grated parmesan cheese over the top.

Notes

  • If you can't get broccolini, you can use regular broccoli instead.
