Grilled Cheese Sandwiches

Ingredients

  • 4 tablespoons unsalted butter , softened
  • 8 lices thick sandwich bread
  • 8 lices cheddar cheese (can also use American cheese)

Instructions

  1. Spread butter on one side of each slice of bread.
  2. Add 4 slices, butter side down, to a griddle or large skillet on medium heat.
  3. Add 2 slices of cheddar cheese.
  4. Add the remaining bread slices, butter side up (away from the rest of the sandwich).
  5. Cook for 2 additional minutes, then flip and cook the second side for 4 minutes, pressing down gently.
