Grilled Pineapple

With a caramelized brown sugar glaze, this Grilled Pineapple is perfectly sweet and fruity, with just a bit of smoky char on the outside. Serve with a scoop of vanilla ice cream for a quick dessert.

Ingredients

  • 1 fresh pineapple cut into spears
  • 1/2 cup brown sugar packed
  • 1/2 cup unsalted butter melted
  • 1/2 teaspoon ground allspice

Instructions

  1. Preheat your grill or a grill pan to medium heat.
  2. In a bowl, whisk together the melted butter, brown sugar, and allspice until well combined to make the glaze. Set aside.
  3. On a baking sheet or cutting board arrange the pineapple spears. Using a pastry brush, generously spread the glaze all over the pineapple spears.
  4. Place the pineapple spears onto the preheated grill grates. Cook for about 7-10 minutes, turning them occasionally, until the pineapple begins to caramelize and char slightly.
  5. Once done, remove the pineapple from the grill and let it cool slightly.
  6. Serve warm with vanilla ice cream and a dollop of whipped cream if desired. Enjoy!
