Grilled Strawberry Lemonade
Fresh lemons and strawberries are grilled in this delicious recipe twist on strawberry lemonade, perfectly refreshing for summer BBQs!

- 12 lemons
- 1 ½ cups sugar
- 1 lb strawberries
- 4 cups water divided
- ice
Instructions
- Preheat the grill to medium.
- Slice the lemons in half.
- Place ½ cup of sugar in a shallow bowl.
- Dip each lemon, cut side down in the sugar.
- Place on the grill cut side down for 5-6 minutes.
- Remove from the grill and set aside to cool.
- Remove the stems and hull all of the strawberries, then roll them in the same bowl of sugar as the lemons.
- Skewer the strawberries and place on the grill for 5-6 minutes, turning throughout the grilling process.
- Remove from the grill and set aside to cool.
- In a medium saucepan combine the remaining 1 cup of sugar with 2 cups of water, place on the stove over high heat and bring to a boil.
- Cook until all of the sugar has been dissolved creating simple syrup.
- Remove from the heat and set aside to cool.
- Juice all of the lemons into a large bowl.
- Once the simple syrup is cooled, place it in a blender with the grilled strawberries.
- Blend into a puree.
- Add this mixture to the lemon juice with an additional 2 cups of water.
- Place in the refrigerator to chill.
- Add ice before serving.
