Grilled Tilapia

Tilapia can actually be an incredibly flavorful and rich fish when cooked properly, and grilling it is an easy dinner!

Ingredients

  • 4 tilapia fillets (6 ounces even thickness throughout if possible)
  • 2 Tablespoons olive oil
  • 2 teaspoons smoked paprika
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1/2 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon onion powder
  • 1/4 teaspoon black pepper

Instructions

  1. Preheat the grill to medium high heat (375 to 450°)
  2. Let the tilapia come to room temperature for 15 minutes. Pat the tilapia dry with a clean towel.
  3. Rub the tilapia with the olive oil.
  4. Mix the smoked paprika, garlic powder, onion powder, salt and ground pepper in a small bowl.
  5. Sprinkle and then pat it on to the fish.
  6. Grill the tilapia on indirect heat for 4 minutes just until it is not sticking to the grates and starts to release. Flip and cook for another 3-4 minutes until the fish is cooked through and an internal temperature has reached 135-140°
  7. Allow it to rest for 3-5 minutes then serve.

Notes

  • This tilapia is great served with a side of asparagus, or a Caesar Salad.
