Ingredients

  • 1 pound lean ground turkey 80-85% lean
  • 1 large egg
  • 2 garlic cloves minced
  • 1 teaspoon Italian seasoning
  • ½ teaspoon smoked paprika
  • ½ teaspoon onion powder
  • ½ teaspoon salt
  • ½ teaspoon black pepper
  • 1 tablespoon avocado oil

Instructions

    Cup of Yum
  1. In a large bowl, whisk together egg, garlic, italian seasoning, smoked paprika, onion powder, salt and pepper. Add the ground turkey, and use your hands to mix until combined.
  2. Divide the mixture into 4 even portions and use your hands to shape them into round patties, about ¾ inch in thickness. Use your thumb to press down in the center of each patty to create an indent.
  3. Preheat the grill or grill pan to medium heat and oil the grates or pan. Cook the burgers for about 5 minutes per side until they reach the desired doneness. Serve on a bun with your favorite toppings.

Notes

  • Tip: Avoid lean ground turkey for juicy grilled burgers. 80-85% is the ideal range.
