Here is a classic guacamole recipe that's easy to make and perfect for dipping or spreading on your favorite foods.

Ingredients

  • 2 avocado ripe, peeled and pitted
  • ¼ cup red onion diced
  • 1 medium tomato diced
  • 2 tablespoons cilantro chopped, fresh
  • 1 jalapeno pepper seeded and minced
  • 1 clove garlic minced
  • 2 tablespoons lime juice freshly squeezed
  • ¼ teaspoon salt
  • tortilla chips for serving

Instructions

  1. In a medium bowl, mash the avocados with a fork or a potato masher until they are mostly smooth but still chunky.
  2. Add the mashed avocado with the red onion, tomato, cilantro, jalapeno pepper, garlic, lime juice, and salt to the bowl. Stir gently until everything is well combined.
  3. Taste the guacamole and adjust the seasoning as needed with more lime juice or salt.
  4. Serve the guacamole immediately with tortilla chips or your favorite dipping foods.

Notes

  • If you want smoother guacamole, combine the ingredients with a food processor or blender.
