Halloween Dirt Cake
Creamy chocolate pudding cake with crushed oreos and a spooky graveyard topping. Perfect Halloween dessert.
Ingredients
- 1 package Oreo cookies 15.5 oz, crushed, with filling
- ¼ cup butter softened, unsalted
- 1 package cream cheese 8 oz, softened
- ¾ cup powdered sugar
- 2 ¾ cup milk any variety
- 2 boxes instant chocolate pudding mix 3.4 oz each
- 12 oz Cool Whip
For the graveyard
- 12 cookies Nutter Butter brand
- 10 oz white chocolate melting wafers Ghirardelli
- 1 cup Pumpkin Candy assorted
- 1 cup candy corn assorted
- ¼ cup chocolate wafers melted, Ghirardelli
Instructions
- In a large mixing bowl, cream together the butter, cream cheese, and powdered sugar until fluffy. Set aside.
- In a bowl, whisk together the milk with instant pudding, until no clumps appear.
- Pour pudding mix into cream cheese mixture. Beat until well blended, scraping down the sides of the bowl as needed.
- Fold in Cool Whip.
- Arrange in a 13 x 9 by pouring half the Oreos in the bottom, topped with the filling, then the remaining Oreos on top.
- Refrigerate for at least 2 hours until set.
- For the graveyard, melt white chocolate according to package directions. Dunk almost the entire Nutter butter into the candy coating. Lay on parchment paper to set.
- Melt chocolate wafers according to package directions. Spoon into a ziploc bag and snip off the corner. Pipe "RIP" onto the white chocolate dipped "tombstones".
- Arrange Nutter butters (after they have set) onto the dirt pudding cake right before serving. Add candy corn and candy pumpkins to the scene. ENJOY.

- Enjoy your dirt cake within 3 days for best taste. Store tightly covered with cling wrap in the fridge! Keep in mind that the cookies “tombstones” may get soft after a day or two.
