  4. Dip the glazed side of the donut into sprinkles and set it down on parchment paper or a cooling rack, sprinkles side up.
  5. Repeat process with all of the donuts.
  6. Attached edible eyes using edible gel, and let donuts sit for about 30 minutes for the glaze to set and dry.

Notes

  • Get all of your decorations and candy ready before you start decorating.
  • Make the glaze last because it will thicken.
  • Work quickly once you get the glaze made.
  • Mix and match sprinkle colors.
  • Make sure excess glaze drips off otherwise, it gets messy and drips down the side of the donuts taking the sprinkles with it.
  • Fill a piping bag with frosting or melted chocolate chips and attach a thin round tip to the piping bag. Squeeze frosting through the piping bag onto the back of the edible eye candies to stick to the Halloween donuts.
  • Let your kids experiment with candy and decorations to design their own Halloween donut ideas.
