Halloween Ghost Hard Boiled Egg Party Snacks

These Halloween Ghost Hard Boiled Egg Party Snacks transform simple boiled eggs into playful ghost shapes by standing them on their ends and using tiny carrot pieces for eyes and a mouth. The egg whites provide a smooth, mild base contrasted by the crunchy carrot details. Making small holes with a straw to insert carrot pieces adds a fun touch ideal for themed parties or kid-friendly snacks.

Ingredients

  • 1 medium egg hard boiled
  • 1 small carrot

Instructions

    Cup of Yum
  1. Peel hardboiled egg gently with your hands.
  2. Slice bottom off egg so egg will stand on end
  3. Use the plastic drinking straw to poke holes in the egg for ghost eyes and mouth.
  4. Slice a tiny piece off of your carrot. Slice it smaller until you have two pieces that are smaller than the holes.
  5. Pop tiny pieces of carrots into eye holes. Enjoy!

Notes

  • Adding vinegar to boiling water helps peel hard-boiled eggs more easily.
  • A small amount of salt in the water reduces the likelihood of eggs cracking during boiling.
  • When making holes with the straw, push through the white to the yolk and squeeze the egg out between holes to create clean openings.
  • Carrot pieces can be substituted with bell pepper for different colored ghost eyes and mouths.
