Ingredients

  • 8 ounces cream cheese softened
  • 14.3 ounces Oreo cookies finely crushed (about 3 cups)
  • 16 ounces white candy melts
  • 4 ounces colored candy melts we recommend green, purple, or yellow.
  • 2 ounces black candy melts
  • 2 ounces red candy melts

Instructions

    Cup of Yum
  1. Crush the Oreos by placing them in a gallon freezer bag and hitting them with a rolling pin until they are finely crushed.
  2. In a large bowl combine the softened cream cheese and the Oreo cookie crumbs. Use your hands to thoroughly combine the two together until they make a kind of dough.
  3. Roll the mixture into 1 inch balls. Make sure to get them as smooth as you can so the chocolate will cover them better in the next step.
  4. Place the rolled balls on a wax paper or parchment paper lined baking sheet. Once you have finished rolling place the baking sheet in the freezer and let the balls chill for at least 30 minutes.
  5. Once the balls have chilled put the white candy melts in a microwavable bowl or mug and microwave for 30 seconds. Stir well and then microwave for 10 seconds at a time, stirring in between each, until the chocolate is fully melted.
  6. Take 5 Oreo balls out of the freezer (leave the rest in there so they stay cold). Place 1 Oreo ball on a fork and dip it into the melted white chocolate.
  7. When you lift the ball out of the chocolate tap the fork gently against the side of the mug several times to get off the excess chocolate.
  8. Place the dipped ball on flat surface lined with wax paper or parchment paper. Repeat until all balls (including the ones still in the freezer) have been dipped in white chocolate.
  9. Let the balls sit until the chocolate is fully hardened.
  10. To decorate your cookies melt colored candy melts in the microwave in the same way you did for the white candy melts.
  11. Place the melted candy melt color you are using for the irises (we recommend green, purple, or yellow, in a sandwich baggie and snip off the tip of one corner.
  12. Use the chocolate to draw the iris of the eye on the Oreo cookie balls. Just make a solid circle. Do this for all of the balls.
  13. Next place the melted black candy melts in a separate bag and snip off the corner. Place a dot of black in the center of each colored circle.
  14. Finally, place the melted red candy melts in a separate bag and snip off the corner. Draw on the veins onto your eyes.
  15. Let chocolate harden completely.
  16. Serve immediately or store in an airtight container in the refrigerator.
